ContactPoint360 is seeking an experienced Payroll and Benefits Administrator. This position oversees and processes the organization's payroll and benefits functions, ensuring pay and benefits are processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of the Fair Labor Standards Act, Affordable Care Act (ACA), and other state and federal employment laws.

Job Description

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
  • Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, multiple states, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Audits regularly to ensure compliance and identify opportunities.
  • Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.
  • Administer employee benefits, including health insurance, and other benefits.
  • Collaborate with other HR Business Partners and other departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll and benefits.
  • Train leaders on the company’s timekeeping system and payroll process.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee questions about payroll and benefits.
  • Keep up to date with changes in payroll regulations and adjust payroll systems and processes accordingly.
  • Performs other HR functions and other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, payroll taxes, and regulations.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and payroll systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of Fair Labor Standards Act, Affordable Care Act (ACA), and other state and federal employment laws.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or equalivent experience required.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in payroll and benefits administration required; two (2) years preferred.
  • Three to five years’ experience in Human Resources.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
